The Field Of Electrical Engineering Field - 1751 Words
From the very beginning, the field of electrical engineering has grown at a rapid pace and expanded into numerous specialized categories, which includes electronics. Electronics also branched into a large number of subcategories. ââ¬Å"The field of electronics was born with the invention of the thermionic valve diode vacuum tube in 1904 by John Ambrose Flemingâ⬠(Lucas). Flemingââ¬â¢s vacuum tube was the basis on which all electronics, such as radios, television, and radar, were founded on until it was replaced by the transistor in 1947. To become an electrical engineer, an Associate degree and a Bachelorââ¬â¢s degree are required. Also, one should strive for a Masterââ¬â¢s degree in order to be eligible for advancement in the the electricalâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦It would also be nice to design something that may leave my mark on the world, much like Thomas Edison did with the light bulb and Nikola Tesla did with the induction motor. In the field of Electrical engineering, the possibilities are endless. There are many things being an electrical engineer entails, such as designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment or overseeing various manufacturing projects for both large and small companies. Electrical engineers often work with various groups on projects assigned and/or funded by these companies. In order for everyone to be on the same page and be able to work together successfully, all electrical engineers must not only understand how electronics work, they must also be computer savvy and well-educated in math These things go hand-in-hand with the creation of schematics and various circuits and simulating how certain electrical systems function (ââ¬Å"Electrical and Electronics Engineers.). Another job of an electrical engineer is to repair things that have been sent or delivered to the workplace or supervise the construction of navigation systems, electric motors, and much more. One last example of what an electrical engineer does is examine equipment for faults or technical failures when a company asks for their assistance. There are so many small andShow MoreRelatedThe Field Of Electrical Engineering1548 Words à |à 7 PagesThe field of Electrical Engineering is the field into the future.
